Plastic or metal housing?
The plastic version is lighter and cheaper, the metal one more resistant to mechanical damage when working in tough conditions. The choice depends on how intensively the vehicle is used and what damage it is exposed to.
Bulbs
Most headlamps use an H4 bulb, some R2; the 12 V or 24 V voltage depends on the bulb fitted. Many models also have a separate position light bulb.
Approval
Most headlamps have E20 approval (a few models E8), allowing use on public roads on vehicles that require it.
Application
Used on agricultural tractors, slow-moving vehicles, older trucks and vans, and off-road vehicles — check dimensions and mounting individually for each model.
